SJIT serves university students, first-time professionals, and experienced practitioners through programs with different objectives and levels of intensity. Admissions therefore begins with the program—not with a single institution-wide applicant profile.
Two Admissions Models
A process designed around the offering.
Some programs are designed for direct enrollment by eligible students. Others use competitive selection because cohort size, preparation, mentoring intensity, or program objectives require an application review.

Programs using selective admission evaluate applicants against criteria appropriate to the audience, objectives, and demands of that specific offering.

Selective Admissions is consistent in structure but not identical in criteria. A first-time professional and an experienced practitioner may be evaluated very differently because the program is asking a different academic question.

Candidates complete the application required for the chosen program and submit the academic, professional, technical, or supporting information requested for that offering.

Review
The application is evaluated against criteria appropriate to the program. These may include preparation, experience, achievements, motivation, potential, and fit with the learning model.

Decision
Applicants receive a decision according to the program’s published timeline. Competitiveness and acceptance rates can differ substantially across programs and cohorts.

Upon admission
Enrollment
Admitted candidates complete the applicable enrollment steps and receive onboarding information for their program and the SJIT academic environment.

Admission answers whether a student may join a program. Scholarship decisions answer a different question.
Scholarship availability, eligibility, application requirements, and award conditions vary across programs and cohorts. An admission offer does not automatically include financial support, and scholarship information should always be reviewed for the specific active offering.
